CAC houses a full size gymnasium, indoor trampoline and weight room for children and youth. CAC engages 3500 children and youth annually in exercise programs, team and league sports. Recreation is our calling card. Children come to the Center to use our gym and equipment, but they stay on to take advantage of our homework assistance, free medical and dental care, affection and guidance.

It is through recreation that children learn life skills. The values of competition, healthy risk-taking, boundaries and confidence are learned through organized sports and age-appropriate play. Studies also show that children need at least one hour of daily exercise for normal physical development. Red blood cells pumping to the brain improve academic focus and nighttime sleep is deeper for performance during the day.
